It's the most wonderful time of the year, is not entirely an expression that most in the hospitality industry would concur with. It’s certainly the busiest time of the year for most, and there is hardly time for time off or even a break as we lay tables time and time again, cook and cook some more, and endlessly wash up. However many have childhood memories of Christmas’s past, magic – secrets and surprises. The Advent Service at St George’s, Hanover Square, is on 1st December, and Fellow Gastronome and Rector Roderick Leece will be taking the service. All Gastronomes are welcome. If you would like to read the Epistle, please let the President know by this Monday. This promised to be an interesting and informative lunch visit - and so it proved to be -  featuring an informal exploration of tastings, wine pairings, and Hungarian cuisine.
