Members in the News – Anton Mosimann OBE
Culinary Arts Academy Switzerland celebrates Swiss Chef Anton Mosimann, OBE, who was recently honored with the 2021 Swiss Culinary Merit of Honor. The prestigious award was launched in 2020 and celebrates Swiss gastronomical excellence while honoring Switzerland’s leading professional chefs and their contributions to Switzerland’s culinary heritage.
Gastronomes Second Summer Outing – 19th August 2021
It was interesting to note how many of the attendees confessed to passing Chiswick House over numerous years but had never visited. Whether entry to the grounds was via the A4 and Car Park or Burlington Lane from the A316 delight was expressed at this jewel of a garden and house. The House itself is one of the glorious examples of 18th Century British architecture. The third Earl of Burlington who designed this Roman Style Palladian Villa, drawing inspiration from his many tours of Italy.
Reunion des Gastronomes, Summer Outing 5th August 2021
We gathered in glorious sunshine for tea and coffee and sat outside on the terrace by the River Stour on a warm Thursday morning, with the Gastronomes travelling from all directions to get to the lovely location of Dedham on the Suffolk/ Essex border.

Ronald Jones retired as Director and General Manager of Claridge’s. During his tenure the hotel won a host of international awards. His hotel management career spans over 50 years and includes Gleneagles and Turnberry in Scotland, the Midland Manchester, and the Royal Garden and Athenaeum Hotels in London.
