The Réunion des Gastronomes was formed officially in August 1899 with the object of endeavouring to raise the standards of hospitality and catering; of promoting stability of employment and of exchanging ideas and opinions of value on all questions concerning the profession. Membership is limited to 200 members.
Membership is open to Owners, Senior Executives and Senior Managers who have a proven record in the provision of professional high-quality food and beverage services.
Affiliate membership is open to hospitality professionals at Proprietor, Senior Executive and Senior Manager levels who are not directly involved in the provision of high-quality food and beverage services but are employed in establishments / organisations that do provide these services.
Associate membership is open to aspiring Proprietors, Senior Executives and Senior Managers who are on a career path in the provision of professional high-quality food and beverage services.
Affiliate Membership and Associate Membership do not confer voting rights, nor may these members serve as officers of the Réunion. Membership for these grades is subject to biennial revue.
Process of applications
The requirements for applications are set out on the Applications page of the website. Once received the Honorary Secretary will acknowledge and submit the application to the committee for approval. This process may take a few weeks, so please be patient.
Membership fees are:
Joining Fee – £100.00
Town Membership – £90.00
Country Membership – £75.00
Overseas Membership – £45.00
Retired Membership – £40.00
Associate Membership – £45.00
Fees correct at April 2019 and are subject to annual review.
