Member get Member Supper

THURSDAY 30th JANUARY

As you might have seen from our previously published programme, we have proposed a slightly different supper at the end of January; one designed especially to recruit new members to the Réunion, particularly younger people who will ensure that the life blood of the society continues.

Please note that this supper will now be held at the Café Royal in Regent Street on THURSDAY 30th JANUARY and not on Monday 27th as previously advertised. The need to change the date has been due to unforeseen circumstances at the Café Royal.

We are asking all members who attend to bring with them a potential new member. It is our intention to confirm the membership of these new members on the night, and therefore they must have completed the attached application form and returned this to Vic Laws by Wednesday 22nd January. Please remember that places are restricted to a member and ONE guest, with the guest place being subsidised by the Réunion by 50%. The capacity of the Domino Restaurant at the Café Royal is 60, so I would encourage you to confirm your places as soon as possible.

It is vital to avoid embarrassment, so to ensure your guest will be admitted as a member please note that they :-

must be in agreement with the principles of the Réunion and abide by the rules. Full rules are on the website at http://www.gastronomes.org/rules/
must have been known to you for three years
must fully complete the application form
must be currently employed or employable within the Hospitality industry and not retired.
must be proposed and seconded by members of the Réunion
must have a proven record in the provision of high quality food and beverage service.

Finally, I would like to remind you that our normal suppers will continue for 2014 at the Oxford and Cambridge Club on Thursday 13th February.
