The Grand Hotel, Eastbourne is the sole remaining 5 star hotel on the South Coast. Our host will be Jonathan Webley, fellow Gastronome, and General Manager of this “Grande Dame” of seaside hostelries. We will have exclusivity of the Mirabelle Restaurant which is considered one of the finest restaurants in Eastbourne. The Independent voted the Mirabellein the top 50 best restaurants in the UK, and it has featured regularly in the Good Food Guide for many years. With a menu inspired and created by Head Chef Gerald Roser, Gastronomes maybe assured of an excellent lunch.
Pre-lunch drinks will be taken in the Mirabelle Garden or in case of inclement weather in the Mirabelle Lounge. 12.00 drinks; 12.30 lunch.

Ridge View has a number of national & international medals and trophies for their renowned range of seven traditional method sparkling wines.
This will include a tour of the winery and vineyard lasting approxmately one hour with a tasting of current wines. Ridge View is situated north west of Eastbourne and is approximately 50 mins away by road.
Afternoon tea will be taken at 5.00 at sister property Ashdown Park Hotel, after the tour, which is 20 minutes by road from Ridge View. This will be taken in their splendid grounds or in one of their private lounges if weather does not permit. Ashdown Park is situated just off the A21 London Road and would be a sensible stop on the return leg to London where we shall leave at 5.45 and arrive back in London about 7.00.
